The Governing Council of UEW has established a Search Committee in accordance with Statute 4[9-12] of UEW Statutes 2020 to find suitable candidates, one of whom will serve as Chancellor of UEW.
The Committee has begun its work and is soliciting nominations from University Community members.
In accordance with Section 11 of Statute 4, the nominees must be:
must be Ghanaian citizens;
must have stood out in the fields of science, business, public affairs, or letters;
must not be disqualified or rendered ineligible in accordance with Clauses 2(b)-(e) of Article 94 of the Republic of Ghana's 1992 Constitution; and must have acknowledged the nomination in writing.
By March 10, 2023, the nominator must provide the nominee's name, address, and brief biographical information.
