Selling diesel at GHS13.80; Gasoline GHS13.80: A sigh of relief for Ghana's motorists—Gabby

Gabby Otchere-Darko, a member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed optimism regarding the duration of the fuel price reduction.

According to the former Executive Director of the Danquah Institute, diesel would cost GHS23.43 and gasoline would cost GHS17.42 in December 2022.

Diesel will cost GHS13.49 and gasoline will cost GHS13.19 on March 1, 2023.

We hope that this is yet another indication that the economy is improving. May it last forever! Tweeted by Mr. Otchere-Darko.

The Institute for Energy Security (IES) had previously predicted that fuel prices would decrease slightly.

The second week of the pricing window, according to IES, will also see a decrease in the price of Gasoil of approximately 4.26 percent, from GH15.90 to GH15.25.

During the pricing window under review, it was also anticipated that the various LPG stations across the country would set the price of liquefied petroleum gas at GH13.51 per kilogram.
