Inflation rates fall again in February, reaching 52.8%

 

On Wednesday, March 15, the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) made the announcement that inflation for the month of February 2023 was 52.8%, down from 53.6 percent in January 2023.


Inflation rates were higher than the average in five divisions.





Transport (70.3% of them); Equipment for the Household (69.8 percent); Housing, electricity, water, gas, and other fuels (69.6 percent); Individual consideration, Social Insurance and Different Administrations (62.5%) and Food and non-Cocktails (59.5%).




Fruits and vegetables saw the highest rate of inflation, at 92.5 percent, while cocoa drinks saw no change.
